Warcraft Affiliates

So now that you understand the basics, let’s talk about clickbank. Clickbank has what we call the clickbank marketplace. This is where we go to research product’s that we might want to sell. If we go to the clickbank website, we will see a link at the top named marketplace.

When you click the marketplace link, it will take you to a search box. We can use this search box to look for products that are currently registered with clickbank. All of these products will be affiliate products and will offer us a percentage of the profits from any sale we refer. I am going to search for “World of Warcraft” in the marketplace search. It is important that we search WITH the quotes on our search term, so that we get only results that have the exact phrase, World of Warcraft.

Here is an example of the results :

These are the top three results for our search. We see the first one is WoW Gold Secrets, then Zygor’s Guide, then Dugi’s. These are all great guides to affiliate with, but let’s talk about why and go over what some of those numbers on the listings mean. We will use the first one as an example.

$ / Sale : 24.82 – This number indicates on average, how much you will get paid per sale. So for every WoW Gold Secrets guide we sell using our special affiliate link, we get $24.82. Not bad!

Future $ - Clickbank now offers the ability to sell monthly membership products. If this were a product that were billed monthly, it would show the potential future income from that billing. Warcraft Formula is currently the only WoW Guide that has a monthly subscription.

Total $ / Sale : $24.82 – This is just basically the total amount you get per sale and should be the same as the first number.

% / Sale : 75% – This is the percentage of the total price you will receive as the affiliate. In this case, because this guide is a gold guide, the standard is 75%. For most gold guides you will get 75% commission and for leveling guides, 50% is the standard. I don’t know why but that is how it works.

% Ref : 99% – This number tells you what percentage of the total sales of this guide, comes from affiliates. You actually want as high a number as possible here. Why? Because if other people are selling it and being successful, then so can you. You would think at first that it would just mean more competition, but what it really tells me is that, this guide sells well for affiliates, otherwise they wouldn’t be promoting it.

grav: 140.23 - This number should also be high. This is telling you how many different affiliates are making sales for this guide. That doesn’t mean there are 140 affiliates, that number is generated by some random algorithm that clickbank does. It just means that a lot of different usernames are making sales every month. That is also a good thing. I know it seems like it would be the opposite but this tells you that people are successfully selling this guide online. All you have to do is sell it better.

View Pitch Page – Clicking this link will take you to the guide’s sales page (that is the page where people will go to buy the guide when they click your link).

Create Hoplink – Clicking this will bring up a popup window that will ask for your username. If you put in your username, in this case, Bob37, and hit create , it will give you your special affiliate link to use in promoting this guide.

Ok, We just covered a LOT of stuff in a short span there. Let’s recap. Clickbank is an online broker where author’s and content creator’s submit there product to sell it. Clickbank is very secure and makes sure you get paid your percentage for each sale. It also gives us a way to search for products to sell using the marketplace. We can search for “World of Warcraft”, with quotes, and get a list of products. We want a product with at least $15-20 per sale, high %Refd and high Grav. This tells us that people are successfully making money promoting this product, which means we can too. We just have to do it better than them, which we will.

I hope that all makes sense. You now have your first assignment. Go to clickbank and set up an account. Pick whatever username you want, but pick wisely as you will be using it a LOT and it cannot be changed once you create it.
